The family room felt more like a cozy suite—two beds, clean as a whistle! Folks runnin' the place were just the kindest, treated us like kin. Wakin' up to hot coffee felt like home. If only the beds were a tad softer, it’d be perfect. Can't beat that.

The clean standard room provided a comfortable base for exploring Porto, though the proximity to the nightlife led to some noise disturbances at night.

The hotel’s prime location allows for easy exploring, with friendly 24/7 reception staff fluent in English. Borrowing a hairdryer was a nice touch, and the clean room with private bathroom made for a comfortable stay.

The breakfast offered could use improvement—it was basic and not particularly filling. Also, evening noise levels from nearby nightlife might disrupt your sleep, so light sleepers should be prepared.

I stayed in a Standard Double or Twin Room for 3 nights. The location was great, with many eateries nearby, and the room was clean, which I appreciated. However, the room was outdated, noisy at night, and I found the bathroom quite cramped, making it challenging for larger individuals.

Location, location, location!

The location of S. Marino is fantastic, just a 15-minute walk from Trindade metro and surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Enjoyed the fresh breakfast each morning, although it was basic. The staff were helpful and spoke English well, which made my stay easier. Found my room clean and tidy, but the bathroom was quite cramped and the shower had a curtain that wasn’t the cleanest. Additionally, the noise levels at night were noticeable, especially with the window open. Still, the view from the balcony was a lovely perk.

My wife says that the family room could use more space.

Had a great time with my friends! The large family room was spacious and comfy, perfect for our group. We explored so much—definitely recommend checking out Braga and the Duoro Valley by train. The staff were super friendly, and the location was just right for grabbing food and drinks nearby. Don't miss out on their excellent breakfast for a solid start to your day!

One thing to keep in mind is the noise from the street at night. It could be a bit disruptive, especially if you're a light sleeper.

Clean room, friendly staff, and great location near Sao Bento Train Station made my stay enjoyable, with plenty of nearby eateries and a basic but fresh breakfast that got me ready for a day of exploring.

Couldn’t fault

I loved the cozy room with a private bathroom, and the 24/7 reception made everything a breeze. The little garden area was perfect for unwinding with a book. I enjoyed the nice seating by the fountain. Just watch out for some street noise at night, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all! 😊

It was just a perfect match for a short interlude in Porto with great value for money. The bathroom might be small, but it was clean, making it usable despite the cramped space. Try to find a room away from the street for a quieter night.

The S. Marino offers excellent value for money with a budget-friendly accommodation near the center. It features a great location with nice views across the square and numerous eateries and bars close by. The breakfast is basic yet fresh, and the staff are efficient and welcoming. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and how close everything I needed was.
